I feel the need to have a highly creative job, and it has to be related to something visual (visual arts, graphics design, etc.). Coming from a family that was not much cultured artistically, music was the only art that was trully present of our life. It is for this reason that I studied classical percussion in Vanier College and McGill University in Montreal. While completing my bachelor degree, I discovered painting, sculpture and architecture and during the remainder of my university years, I took many art history classes (from painting to modern architecture). Right at the beginning, I fell in love with abstact painting and contemporary art in general. I knew then that when I would start painting it would be abstract in style. After my music studies, I took few drawing classes at the Saidie Bronfman Center for the Arts and started painting seriously. The artists who have most influenced me are Paul Klee, Vassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Mark Rothko, Arshile Gorky, Jean Arp and Constantin Brancusi.
